Mills

General Item:

o NEVER drill any material other than acrylic or aluminum unless you ask first.

o NEVER use shop rags or glove around the mills.

o NEVER leave the chuck key in the chuck.

o NEVER change gears while the machine is running.

o NEVER walk away from the machine while it is running.

o ALWAYS make sure the mill head is clamped tight to keep it from moving.

o ALWAYS use the mill in the forward direction and never in reverse.

o ALWAYS loosen the clamping nuts on the back of machine before using the crank handle to raise or lower the head.

Drilling:

o ALWAYS when drilling clamp you part down and NEVER hold it in you hand.

o ALWAYS use the table vise for drilling materials thicker than a 1/4".

o ALWAYS use the table clamps for material 1/8" and smaller (like the sheet metal and 1/8" acrylic).

o ALWAYS set the mill (H3) on fastest speed drilling your acrylic and aluminum.

o NEVER drill into the vise or the mill bed.

Reaming:

o NEVER clamp the part down when using the mill for reaming unless the hole was just drilled.

o NEVER ream a part smaller than 2" in the mill.

o ALWAYS ream small parts in the vise on the table using the cordless drill.

o ALWAYS ream the part using the slowest speeds.
