I am currently pursuing my PhD at UC San Diego in Wireless Sensing domain. My core research interests lie in the fusion of signal processing and machine learning, with a focus on their applications in wireless sensing. I have completed my Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from IIT Hyderabad.
Kasey is a first-year PhD student studying Bioacoustics under Kait Frasier. She completed her BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2019. Post-undergraduate studies, she worked for 5 years prior to applying to graduate school. Currently, she studies marine mammal acoustic sensing at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
Ishan Bansal is a 2nd year graduate student with the Electrical and Computer Engineering department. He has over 3 years of experience as a software engineer and has worked with organizations like Cisco, Qualcomm, and Western Digital. Ishan is currently a graduate student researcher with Prof. Dinesh Bharadia working on developing remote sensing technology. His work has been published at top conferences like ACM MobiCom and ACM SenSys.
Undergraduate degree: Nutrition and Dietetics; Master of Science: Bioinformatics. Had non-traditional path to graduate school. Worked in economics and scientific communications for a few years after college. Initiated a second degree in business school and decided to work towards a MS in Bioinformatics. Worked at NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as their only bioinformatics scientist for infectious disease surveillance for 7 years before deciding to start graduate school.
Yashpreet completed her BS and MS in Biology, and plans to get her PhD in pharmacology.
