Jacobs Graduate Student Council (JGSC)
The Jacobs Graduate Student Council (JGSC) is a volunteer group of Jacobs graduate students from all engineering departments who organize events to strengthen the Jacobs School of Engineering community. JGSC hosts a number of recurring events each year. Email Contact: jgsc@eng.ucsd.edu.
Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA)
The Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA) exists to advocate for the rights and interests of our diverse community, to provide for the enjoyment of social, cultural, and service-oriented events, and for the betterment of academic and non-academic life of all graduate and professional students at UC San Diego.
The Graduate and Professional Student Association represents the interests and concerns of graduate and professional students on campus, system-wide, locally, statewide, and on national levels. Through various activities and programming, GPSA enriches the lives of graduate and professional students and advances their interests politically, academically, and socially. The organization is composed of two parts: the Council and the Executive Committee. The Council includes representatives from every graduate program at UCSD and meets at regular intervals throughout the school year. Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a national non-profit organization founded in 1950 that inspires women to pursue engineering by providing educational and career opportunities and advocating for gender equality within the field. SWE has hundreds of professional and collegiate sections across the United States, including here at UC San Diego.
UC San Diego Society of Women Engineers is a diverse group of passionate young engineers excited about women in STEM. Through outreach to K-12 students, socials with other women engineers, networking workshops with industry, and technical teams, UCSD SWE provides women engineers with a welcoming environment to grow professionally and academically.
