Fluorescent spot on the sample strip must be fluorescent to differentiate the sample from the background.
PBS - 50 uM (positive control)
Pre-processed image of a positive control result (determined as our highest concentration on the strip) from our device.
BSI - 100 pM (lowest concentration)
Most sensitive pre-processed image taken from our device at a concentration of 100 pM.
We have decided to image a single strip of our biological spike-in sample from 10 uM to 100 pM. After imaging, post-processing was done with ImageJ using the threshold tool to set the images taken to grayscale. With the images, we can see the spot of fluorescence even through the ring of light caused from the vertical LED light configuration.
