Darkbox
The darkbox of our fluorescent imaging device is a 7x7 inch print which houses our internal hardware components: Raspberry pi, camera with lens, LED light, and wiring as well as our additional 3D printed components: stage and disk. The darkbox includes a tall cylinder to hold up the disk, a small rectangular groove to house the Raspberry Pi, and four square barrels to hold the legs of the stages.
Lid for Darkbox
The lid of our fluorescent imaging device was made to cover the top of the darkbox to reduce almost all ambient light. The LED light is also mounted on the underside of the lid. The grooves and overhangs of the lid allow for seamless fit onto the top of the darkbox.
Disk for Dichroic Filter
The disk of our fluorescent imaging device was designed to hold multiple dichroic filters for multiplexing capabilities in future applications. The final design of the disk featured slots that allowed for the stage of our device to be directly on top of the, making images captured more uniform and standardized.
Stage for Lateral Flow Assay
The stage of our fluorescent imaging device will be able to hold up any sample test strips of fluorescence or any lateral flow assay strips with biological sample. The stage has four legs for increased support and has clips on the top to hold the strips in place when imaging.
