Sabrina Piersol (b. 1995) is a painter and printmaker living and working in San Diego, California. Her most recent work explores concepts of individual interiority. She seeks to assign a visual language to the metaphysical landscapes of the mind via solid, grounded forms and contrasting ethereal, atomizing strokes. Employing earth tones against vibrant, saturated palettes, Piersol architects a logic within each of her paintings, towing the line between pure abstraction and surrealism through intentional disruptions of dimension and form. These works attempt to uncover and illuminate our spiritual dwelling places in hopes of offering healing insight to viewers.
