Hi my name Maria Rios Mathioudakis . I am a San Diego based Socially engaged artist.
My art work created through interdisciplinary projects with members of the San Diego/ Tijuana community. Quarantine has brought a whole new set challenging for my practice. I have needed to find new ways to create work/ be in community. The work I am making currently reflects my failures and attempts at negotiates these new challenges. I use lens based media, performance, dance, among other kinds of media.
