Visit the accepted students page of the ISEO website for information  a comprehensive guide for newly admitted international undergraduate and graduate students on obtaining their U.S. student visa (F-1 or J-1) and preparing for their arrival to the United States. 

Under "Accept Admission and Complete Required Account Setup, make sure to navigate to the Graduates (Master's and PhD students  section for relevant information. 

Find workshops and webinars for new international students and scholars that are designed to help you orient yourself to life at UC San Diego.

STEP ONE: Complete iTriton Online Training on Canvas

• This is a mandatory virtual orientation that needs to be completed on Canvas. 

• Students will have from June through August to complete iTriton. 

  • Students will have access to iTriton June 1, 2025

  • Deadline: September 1, 2025

STEP TWO: International Orientation Sessions

• These sessions are strongly recommended and will be conducted virtually in September 2025. 

• Example sessions include:  

  • “Meet ISEO & Understand Your Immigration Documents”

  • “Know the Rules: How to Maintain your International Student Status” 

  • “Working in the U.S.”

ISEO hosts in-person and virtual programming throughout the year. These events are strongly recommended and provide a great opportunity to meet other international students at UC San Diego!
