Abstract
Organoid cultures are crucial in biomedical research due to their scalability and structure, but challenges exist in effectively imaging and analyzing these cultures in 3D. Our project proposes a comprehensive framework integrating a compact camera system and a rotating motor device to address these challenges. We have a dual system with a motor driven bioreactor and cloud based microscopy, where our 6-camera system captures high-resolution 3D images of organoid cultures, and the motor ensures the integrity of the organoids during imaging. Our system includes AI models for instance segmentation/classification, which provide accurate information on their size to assess overall health. Future biological testing through culturing can validate our device, and future optimizations can also be made for the cultivation process.
