This longitudinal mixed-methods study explores how adolescents develop the knowledge, analytic skills, and emotional faculties to understand, counter, and dismantle racism (i.e., develop their critical race consciousness).

Funded by the Latinas Future 2025 Lab, Latina Identity in Research & Action illuminates the experiences of Latina researchers across the academic pipeline. We identify the facilitators and barriers Latina researchers experience and highlight the institutional changes needed for Latinas to thrive in academia.

In partnership with Hispanas Organized for Political Equality we developed a youth participatory action research curriculum for Latina adolescents. The goal of the program is to promote Latina girls' healthy identity development while strengthening their socioemotional and sociopolitical skills.
