Most presenters will choose to give a computer presentation (PowerPoint or Adobe PDF) using their own laptop computer. There are usually a sufficient number of laptops available that if you do not wish to or are unable to bring your laptop, it will not present a problem. A computer projector and laser pointer will be available for use during all oral presentations. Other oral presentation formats can generally be accommodated as needed. If your presentation should require the use of an overhead or slide projector, please indicate this on your registration form.
The meeting schedule allows for ~25 oral presentations, typically three on Friday evening, eight on Saturday morning, eight on Saturday afternoon, and seven on Sunday morning. All oral presentations (except the Saturday evening talk) will be scheduled as 20 minutes long plus 5 minutes for discussion. Speakers that do not adhere to the 20-minute suggestion will miss the opportunity for constructive discussion with the audience, which has been a hallmark of this excellent meeting. Due to the limited number of oral presentations available in the schedule, the number of oral presentations from a single research group is generally limited to 3.
Easels measuring 3’ by 4’ will be provided for the mounting of poster presentations. Please provide your own pushpins to mount your poster. Limited space in the meeting hall means that ~25 poster presentations can be accommodated.
All poster presentations will occur on Friday evening after the oral session. To allow further discussion, poster presenters are welcome to leave their posters in place until the Saturday evening celebration.
