Many of our members lead parallel equity efforts in our department. In recognition of this labor, we have a core group of team leads who will spearhead our IDEA work. The larger membership are invited to participate as fully as they are able, but their core responsibility is as an extended advisory board.
Team leads attend APS IDEA online learning community meetings, lead our ongoing efforts, and propose a cohesive vision for our team's goals within our department. Team leads regularly update the broader membership with upcoming events and progress. This year student team leads are given a small honorarium and a modest amount of research support in recognition of the time they are putting into this work.

Members keep abreast of the team's efforts and inform those efforts as representatives of different stakeholders in our department. They are invited to attend APS IDEA meetings, take an active part in our team's ongoing efforts, and to help shape our team's goals.
