Coach Hague

Jumps Coach

Coach Hague was active in many sports when she was growing up.  She started running track and jumping during middle school and continued all the way through high school.  She went to the state meet all 4 years, and in her senior year, she placed 2nd in the State Meet in high jump and set the school record (which still stands today).   During high school, Coach Hague was All-Conference in basketball and volleyball and went on to play volleyball at the University of Tulsa where she was a 4-year starter and 3 time “all-tournament team.”  She chose Tulsa because she could play volleyball and get a mechanical engineering degree.  Coach Hague started coaching jumping in 2014 when the Weddington Middle School track program started.  In the winter of 2015, Coach Spencer asked her to help the WHS jumps coach at the time several days a week. In the spring of 2016, she became the WHS jumps coach.  Coach Hague has her USATF Level 2 Jumps certification.  Coach Hague loves jumping and being a part of the program at WHS.
