Students share ways to show empathy and compassion toward someone being bullied.
I think that generally people that get bullied don’t belong to any cliques. So if you come across someone being bullied, just talk to them during lunch or something and then recommend them a clique to join. And if they don’t fit in any clique easily then just put them in yours. I met a lot of good friends through people naturally joining a group to avoid bullying. While it sounds kind of barbaric there is safety in groups."

Bullying is when you are doing something hurtful to someone when they didn’t do anything or you just don't like them and you mess with them. Bullying can be in many different ways over an app or in person. Bullying can make people feel stressed or make them feel suicidal if it is really bad and no one knows. And if other people are just watching it happen, it can make the person that’s getting bullied think that it’s never gonna stop. If someone helps. that benefits the person that’s getting bullied because you can never know how bad or how much worse it is."

Bullying is a lot of things. Bullying can range from uncomfortable jokes about someone, to beating someone up for your own pleasure. Mean comments about someone's personal life, culture, looks, or actions are bullying. Just because you don’t do the same thing, doesn’t mean it’s acceptable to make mean comments. Mocking someone’s culture is definitely bullying. People can’t help what their culture is or how it works. It’s important to be mindful and respectful of sensitive things like that.
Texting someone disrespectful things or threatening them, is also bullying. A lot of people go to the extremes of fighting someone for tiny reasons. A lot of people are too scared to speak up for someone in fear of also being picked on. Those who are picked on, can fall into deep, depressive states because they might feel alone. Some isolate themselves and others hurt themselves, or kill themselves. It’s important to not judge or pick on someone because you don’t know what they’re going through outside of school. If you see someone being bullied, say something. Go comfort them. Let them know that they’re not alone. Little actions can save a life."

Bullying is a way to intimidate others and a form of disrespect. Bullying can have a big impact on whoever is getting bullied because it can make them feel like they are not respected and they are the odd one out. When a person sees bullying they try to avoid it because they don’t want the same thing to happen to them. That is not a good thing to do only for the simple fact you have a chance to be the one to change things in the world around you.

Bullying is a way of hurting someone physically and mentally and it also brings them down and they might think since no one helps them tell the bully to stop, everyone thinks the same of that person. A way to show empathy is by not being selfish and help people in need and it might help you because they get famous they will probably repay you so always be open minded about people in need.
