Bullying Prevention Project Mission

The mission of our Bullying Prevention Advocacy Project

is to inform our community about bullying and what it means to be an upstander.

Why?

Bullying affects all youth, including those who are bullied, those who bully others, and those who witness bullying. The effects of bullying may continue into adulthood. Our 7th and 8th grade classes of 2021 have chosen to be UPSTANDERS and not bystanders to bullying.

Students describe bullying and include examples of bullying behavior and how it might make someone feel.

Students provide tips and advice for how to be an upstander - stepping in and speaking out against bullying behavior.

Students share ways that someone can show empathy and compassion to someone who is being bullied.

Students explain why bullying prevention is important to them, including what they want adults and other young people to know about bullying and cyberbullying.

“When you see something that is not right, not fair, not just, you have to speak up.

You have to say something; you have to do something." John Lewis
