Summary of Log One

In this log, I explored different possibilities for my primary source. I started with City of God which involves the worldbuilding and portrayal of Brazil through the story of people growing up with crime in a poor area. Next, I explored music, whose humanistic analysis involved more music theory rather than worldbuilding, so I couldn't find adequate literature. I instead decided to choose games because of their immersive world like in Undertale. I also found interesting one person's analysis which took a look at utopia-building within videogames like Stardew Valley. Finally, I explored the short story collection Interpreter of Maladies and the corresponding literature regarding how the stories offered a different perspectives on brown people to audiences.
