Patricia Cruz created the poster for the 46th Chicano Park Day celebration.  This poster represents the generational legacy that Chicano Park Day and the anniversary celebrations leave behind. The image depicts Tommie Camarillo, a central Chicana figure to many who remember the Chicano Park takeover, alongside a young child. Camarillo, one of the founding members of the park takeover and steering committee that oversees the park, is an icon that has planted the Chicano roots for the new generations to embrace, respect and honor.
