Salvador Barajas created the 2010 poster for Chicano Park Day celebration. The poster is a photo of the cake that Barajas made for the park's 40th birthday. The bottom layer of the cake shows a group of people holoding signs that include sayings such as “Aquí estamos y no nos vamos” (“We are here, and We are not leaving”) and "No more police brutality." On the other layers are a pillar with the famous Virgen de Guadalupe mural, indigenous people, and folklorico dancers. Atop the cake is the kiosko, while lower riders are popped up on the sides. 

This Union Tribune article looks at the work being done to revitalize the park and its murals, and interviews a couple of the park's founders who look back on the establishment of Chicano park and its legacy today.
