Mario Torero created a hand drawn poster for the 25th anniversary poster for Chicano Park Day, which celebrated the life of Laura Rodriguez who died in 1994. 61 years old at the time of the Chicano Park takeover, Laura laid her body in front of a bulldozer to keep it from breaking ground for the planned substation and chained herself to the Neighborhood House doors in Logan Heights, ushering on the Occupation that led to the park's creation.
