Mesa Directiva 2019-2020

Laura Garza - President

Hi I’m Laura Garza a PhD Student in Hydrologic Sciences. My research is focused in the region of the Rio Grande/ Rio Bravo a transboundary basin shared between Mexico and the US which is subject to a wide range of hydrologic and climatic challenges under a complex political climate.  I am highly motivated in finding sustainable solutions and adaptation strategies that help water scarce basins to balance nature, culture, social and economic aspects. My higher purpose is to make a difference and contribute on preserving ecological functions in rivers all over the world.

Laura holds an NSF from the Mexican National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT) and received her master's degree in Applied Ecology from the University of Kiel, Germany. Email: legarza@ucdavis.edu
