Complete an Interest Form then Enroll as a volunteer on Zsuites and
Complete your interest survey first before moving on to the next steps for enrollment.

Complete the online training
Complete the required courses for NEW volunteers. You can find these courses on the CA 4-H Learning Center website. The enrollment key is Alameda
The course includes essential parts of 4-H service, such as orientation, CANRA guidelines, and the 4-H Thriving Model for Positive Youth Development. Individuals will also learn about 2-Deep Supervision and how to create a safe and welcoming environment for all youth. Course length: 1 hour and 35 minutes (can be done in multiple sessions). Create an eXtension Account and complete the New Volunteer Course .

to receive the live scan form and
information needed.
You can find live scan facilities here. Then submit a Check Request to the county office for reimbursement.

Pay the enrollment fee
Complete payment of the annual adult volunteer enrollment fee. For the Alameda County Payment Survey, use this link.
Some clubs sponsor their project leaders. Please check with your community club leader to see if your club does and the requirements to be sponsored.

Please follow the below steps to reenroll as a volunteer
Submit your enrollment on Zsuites
Complete your returning volunteer training
Log into Campus Extension for your 23/24 Returning Volunteer training -Please email the county Office for enrollment key
Level 2 Reporting Child Abuse & Neglect for UC Volunteers - 15 minutes (in-course title is Abuse Prevention for UC Volunteers)
Abuse Risk Management for Volunteers - 15 minutes
4-H Orientation - 40 minutes
2 Deep Supervision Policy -5 minutes
Pay your online enrollment fee
Note: Even if your club sponsors your enrollment, you must still go through the payment survey for approval
Once you start your enrollment process, training and payment must be completed within 30 days or your will need to start the process over.
