C1 - Construct a logical plan
Now you need to make a step by step plan. Details can be outlined in POINT FORM - this is appropriate.
- Imagine that you are giving these steps to another person who is reading them without you present.
These should be clear enough so that someone else can follow them without your help!
- You should include materials and tools (which may by physical or digital), as well as the time each step will take.
- You need to present your logical plan in a list, table or flow chart or Google Calendar with detailed task annotations.
C2 - Demonstrate technical Skills
Photos and/or screenshots of your prototypes and designs
Graphic layouts and drawings
short written notes of problems encountered and solutions
animations, recordings, documents
C3 - Follow the plan to create the solution
- Share a photo/screenshot or video of your final product
C4 - Justify changes to final
Check B4 and C1 and write about changes - be specific and precise
Rubric
7 - 8
The student:
i. explains and justifies the need for a solution to a problem for a client/ target audience
ii. constructs a detailed research plan, which identifies and prioritizes the primary and secondary research needed to develop a solution to the problem independently
iii. analyses a range of existing products that inspire a solution to the problem in detail
iv. develops a detailed design brief, which summarizes the analysis of relevant research.
5 - 6
The student:
i. explains the need for a solution to a problem for a specified client/target audience
ii. constructs a research plan, which identifies and prioritizes primary and secondary research needed to develop a solution to the problem, with some guidance
iii. analyses a range of existing products that inspire a solution to the problem
iv. develops a design brief, which explains the analysis of relevant research.
3 - 4
The student:
i. outlines the need for a solution to a problem for a specified client/target audience
ii. outlines a research plan, which identifies primary and secondary research needed to develop a solution to the problem, with some guidance
iii. analyses one existing product that inspires a solution to the problem
iv. develops a design brief, which outlines the analysis of relevant research.
1 - 2
The student:
i. states the need for a solution to a problem for a specified client/target audience
ii. develops a basic design brief, which states the findings of relevant research.
Target Audience
The student will follow the design cycle to develop a solution (or range of solutions) which promotes community connection.
The student must target one of the following audiences/clients:
Peers
Community Members
Families
Suggested solutions may be, but are not limited to, the following ideas:
A short film about connectedness
A documentary about people coming together
A video essay on a film with a dominant them of connectedness
Within Criterion A the student selects a target audience/client from the options above and will analyse and inquire into:
the need for a solution
the identification of primary and secondary research
existing products that illustrate change over time.
Students will also:
create a design brief that reflects the analysis of their research with reference to the statement of inquiry.
