We look forward to welcoming all day and boarding students new to the Upper School on Orientation Day, Tuesday, Sept. 5. Please check the New Student Orientation Schedule for an overview of the day’s program and additional resources. In addition, see the FAQ for answers to popular questions.
New students will obtain access to their lockers on Orientation Day. Their Senior House Adviser will assign them a locker in their House locker room next to their mentor’s locker. It's recommended that they bring a combination lock with them in order to keep their belongings secure.
At 3 p.m., students who have not received their laptops can do so in Room 127. The session will be 30 to 45 minutes in length.
Curriculum night will be held on Monday, Sept. 11 and not on Sept. 7 as noted previously.
Each new student will receive their House T-shirt and tie from their Head of House on the first day of school — items will be charged to their student accounts.
The Canadian School Book Exchange (CSBE) is the College's textbook supplier and can be accessed here. Details on how to place orders, delivery options and payment methods are available on this information page.
Please place orders as early as possible to ensure students have textbooks at the start the school year. Ordering early also gives you the best selection of used books.
For assistance please contact CBSE by email or at 1-800-335-5043.
UCC’s vibrant parent community is one of the many special things about the College. And no matter how much or how little time you have, the Parents’ Organization (PO) can find a volunteer opportunity for you. The PO needs parents to assist with events such as Association Day (Oct. 14), Festive Marketplace (Dec. 8) and more throughout the year. If you’re interested in getting involved, click here. For questions and more information, please email communityengagement@uccpo.ca.
The Used Blues Shop (TUBS) is hosting its annual back-to-school sale right after Labour Day.

The sale will feature gently used uniforms and spirit wear. All purchases will be charged to a student’s account. Students are welcome to shop on their own. Parents are welcome but are asked to first sign in at reception. Please bring a shopping bag.

Please note the following key dates and information about the course change process for the 2023–24 academic year.
Students should first contact their university counsellor to begin a conversation (contact information below). A discussion centred on potential impacts will be led by the university counsellor and will involve the student and parent, course teachers, adviser and the Wernham West Centre for Learning as required.
Once September classes have begun, the process and timeline for course change requests will be as follows:
Course changes must be requested through a University Counsellor and also approved by a parent/guardian.
Year 11 course changes will be accepted and processed, if possible, as of the third day of school, up to the Thanksgiving Day long weekend.
Year 9 and Year 10 course changes will be accepted and processed, if possible, as of the third day of school through Monday, Sept. 18.
Please be aware that every effort will be made to honour requests; however, certain changes may not be possible because of timetable constraints.
