If any of your student’s information is inaccurate (e.g. the spelling of the name, pronoun use), please email Lorraine Fernandez.
Attendance is a mandatory part of our daily practice and is taken within the first 15 minutes of class. Families should use the SchoolPass app to report any anticipated absences.
For extended absences of five school days or more, please fill in the extended absence request form with your child, which includes a plan for completing any work missed. You’ll receive approval or additional actions from the Assistant Head of the student’s year level. Please contact the relevant Assistant Head with questions.

Academics
In Years 9 through 12, day and boarding students have an adviser to help them navigate their academic program, communicate with families, and deliver the advising program. For day students in Year 8, this role is fulfilled by the senior house adviser.
Parents should encourage students to speak to the subject teacher and advocate for themselves in the first instance. If concerns or questions persist, parents should reach out to the subject teacher or the student’s adviser.
If the concern extends beyond one particular class or you feel more comfortable having the adviser’s support in addressing the matter, contact your student’s adviser with your concern and they will develop a plan with you and the student to address the concern. If concerns or questions persist, families may reach out to the respective departmental faculty chair.

Students must hand in all summative assessments by the assigned due date.
A late submission triggers a late summative infraction filed by the teacher. Late summative infractions include the details of the missing work and are automatically sent to the student, adviser, senior house adviser, WWCfL, and parents. The student will then be required to attend mandatory department Flex Time support until either the assignment or process work has been submitted for evaluation: determined case-by-case.

Each teacher uses a graduated classroom management system, and infractions are used to record discipline issues. These notes go through Bluenet and alert the student’s adviser, senior house adviser, and likely the family.
Elevated behaviour issues may lead to detention and conduct status, and more serious incidents may require students to be sent to an assistant head’s office.
