A group of boarders, accompanied by Ms. Jinha, attended the performance of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, in the David Chu Theatre. Jerry P, a member of Seaton’s House, had a supporting role in the play.
On Friday evening, the boarding community observed a traditional Shabbat dinner, an event that deepened understanding and fostered a sense of belonging. Students and faculty from the Jewish Culture Club shared customs and discussed the significance of Shabbat before the community enjoyed a traditional meal together. The event was further enriched by the presence of many day students, families, and upper school leaders.
A special thank you to the Goddard family for hosting a group of 16 boarders in a box at Rogers Centre to watch the Blue Jays take on the Boston Red Sox on Monday evening.
The excursion was a true highlight for the students in attendance, providing an unforgettable experience away from campus. Accompanying the younger boarders were two senior leaders, Emmanuel and Daniel D., who joined the group and shared their enthusiasm for the game.
The students enjoyed a prime viewing location and a variety of delicious food and refreshing drinks throughout the game. A significant moment from the evening was the complimentary Blue Jays jersey given to each student, allowing them to truly feel a part of the Jays Nation and cheer on the 'boys of summer' with team spirit. This special boarding activity fostered great camaraderie and provided a fantastic opportunity for the students to bond over the shared excitement of a major league baseball game.
