ADMISSIONS – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

To apply:

1. Visit the UB website and access the Online Admission Portal.

2. Fill out the Online Application Form completely.

3. Submit the form and obtain your Application ID Number.

4. Schedule and take the University of Batangas Admission Test (UBAT).

5. Proceed with the submission of requirements and enrollment once the UBAT is completed.

Applicants who have completed Senior High School (Grade 12) or its equivalent are qualified to apply for admission to college at the University of Batangas.

The following may apply:

Senior High School graduates from public or private schools

Alternative Learning System (ALS) passers with the required certification

Transferees from other colleges or universities

Foreign students, subject to the university’s admission requirements for international applicants

All applicants must complete the admission process, submit the required documents, and take the University of Batangas Admission Test (UBAT) if required before proceeding with enrollment.

The UBAT is the official admission test required for applicants before proceeding with enrollment.

The UBAT fee is ₱250.00 and is non-refundable.

Payment can be made in cash, via credit card or GCash, but only available at the Cash Management Office or online thru the following:

UBAT examinations are conducted only on weekdays and are not scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays.

The testing schedule is as follows:

UBBC - Friday 8:30 AM – Morning Session and 1:30 PM – Afternoon Session

UBLC - Wednesday and Friday - 8:30 AM – Morning Session and 1:30 PM – Afternoon Session
Tuesday and Thursday - 8:30 AM – Morning Session only

Please note that examinations are not conducted during holidays or on dates that coincide with university activities.

Applicants are encouraged to check the available schedules through the official UBAT application QR code or contact the Admissions Office to confirm the exact date and time of their examination.

Applicants are advised to submit their rescheduling request as early as possible to secure a preferred testing date.

Receipt, Pencil (No. 2), School ID (current school, if applicable)

You may proceed with enrollment after passing the University of Batangas Admission Test (UBAT) and submitting the required admission documents to the Admissions and Scholarships Office. Once your requirements have been verified and approved, you will be guided through the enrollment process, including subject advising, assessment of fees, and payment.

Applicants must prepare and submit the following documents:

• Original Report Card and two (2) photocopies

• Certificate of Good Moral Character (Original)

• Two (2) pieces 2×2 ID photos with name tag (white background)

• PSA Birth Certificate – two (2) photocopies

• Three (3) long brown envelopes

• Online Application Form (with Application ID Number)

• UBAT Result

• Marriage Certificate (if married) – original and two (2) photocopies

Yes, Applicants who wish to transfer to the university should first request the following from their previous school:

• Transcript of Records (TOR)

• Honorable Dismissal

• Course Description (if applicable)

• Certificate of Good Moral Character

These documents should be submitted to the Admissions and Scholarships Office, where the applicant will be referred to the Program Head of the chosen course for evaluation and further admission procedures.

Yes. Students at the University of Batangas may pay their tuition and other school fees either in full or through an installment payment scheme. For installment payments, you need to pay an initial down payment upon enrollment, and the remaining balance is divided into monthly installments. For the exact payment scheme and installment schedule, applicants are encouraged to inquire directly with the Cash Management Office or Admissions Office of the campus where they plan to enroll.

No. Textbooks and other learning materials are not included in the tuition fee and must be purchased separately.

Students will receive guidance on which books to buy, where to purchase them, and the schedule for availability during the Tatak Brahmans Orientation or the first month of classes.

No. The school uniform is not included in the tuition fee and must be purchased separately.

Information on where to buy the uniform, the schedule for availability, and uniform guidelines will be provided during the Tatak Brahmans Orientation or at the start of the school year.

For incoming Freshmen students who belong to the Top 3 of their graduating batch:

• Top 1 – 100% tuition discount

• Top 2 – 50% tuition discount

• Top 3 – 25% tuition discount

ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP - Grant will be based on the performance of the student athlete.

Requirements:

• Must meet the required residency in the University

• Must have no failing grade/s

•  Must undergo physical examination

CULTURAL SCHOLARSHIP - Grant will be based on the performance of the student.

Requirements:

• Scholar will be evaluated by the trainor

• Must have no failing grade/s

STUDENT ASSISTANT PROGRAM

Entitled to a subsidy on miscellaneous fees and tuition fees for 24 units in the regular semester and 6 units during summer.
