Chemical Engineer from the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (UAS), Mexico. Master and Doctor (2012) in Chemistry from the Technological Institute of Tijuana, Mexico; Sandwich PhD Programme having the Technische Universität Dresden as host institution in Germany. Additional research training received at the Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung Dresden, Germany, and at the Autonomous University of Baja California, Tijuana, Mexico. Since 2012, Research Professor at the Autonomous University of Sinaloa: Research Professor at the Faculty of Engineering Culiacan in the department of Civil Engineering -Environmental Laboratory; member of the Basic Academic Nucleus of the Postgraduate Program in Biological Sciences of the Faculty of Biology. Scientific interests focused on synthesis and characterization of polymers for drug delivery and water treatment. Member of the National System of Researchers (Mexico). The ENSA-Sorb project was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and had the aim to establish a collaboration between European and American partners, which was coordinated by Dr. Simona Schwarz of the Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung Dresden e. V, Germany. The consortium of this project consisted of three European scientific partners, the German company BioLog Heppe® GmbH and four American scientific partners.
