Dr. Kato is a Full Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of Asian Transport Studies. His research interests include: Transportation planning and policy, Infrastructure projects in developing regions, International/interregional transportation planning, and Transportation economics and finance. Associate Professor, Kobe University
Enna Hirata is an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Maritime Sciences, the Center for Mathematical and Data Sciences, Kobe University. Her research interests include Transport Economics, Maritime Digitization, Maritime Decarbonization, Data-driven Prediction and Decision Making. Previously, Enna worked in various capacities in A. P. Moller-Maersk Group. Before moving from industry to academia in 2019, Enna was responsible for Asia Pacific market in TradeLens, a blockchain-underpinned supply chain platform jointly developed by Maersk and IBM. Enna is an evangelist, researcher, educator and practitioner of blockchain and AI application in shipping and logistics, an expert of supply chain digitization and digitalization. She is an Associate Editor for Maritime Policy and Management, Taylor & Francis.
