Over the years, there have been an increase in fatal accidents. Worldwide and locally, there have been preventions evaluated to meet the goal of decreasing accidents. Local enforcement teams have installed more traffic lights, stop signs, laws utilizing extensive punishments to drunk driving, speed traps, laws on cell phone usage while driving, and other specialized tools.
Although the preventions cannot 100% stop accidents from happening, they can decrease the numbers of victims involved in accidents. The advancement of technology has provided more regulations for traffic observers to utilize to advance the level of prevention.

Little Rock, Arkansas has had an increase in deadly accidents. Traffic operators have decided to incorporate more technological advancements to their traffic lights.
It allows drivers traveling at a safe speed to pass through every light. However, as the video mentions speeders would be the drivers that would constantly have to stop at a red traffic light. This advancement has provided safety for pedestrians, drivers, passengers, bicyclists, and motorcyclists. This step is one in the right direction, and with the advancement of technology will help identify a path to safety prevention for all.

Construction Safety Cameras
Arkansas has also introduced a new camera system to provide effective safety measures in construction zones. The cameras are used for protection of construction workers, in a way cars too.
The cameras are able to identify speeding vehicles (where enforcement officers would track them). The difference of this camera usage compared to the stationed cameras at traffic lights is that officers would take matters into their jurisdiction at that exact point. They would be notified, and the driver would be held accountable for such actions.
Once again, this is another example where Arkansas has used the expansion of technology for its aid in safety prevention.
