School Based Programs
CI Programs in LRSD - No registration required!
UA Little Rock Children International partners with the Little Rock School District to provide health, education and empowerment programs to our CI Members in the schools they attend. There is no registration required for school-based programs.
If your child attends any of the listed schools, they are eligible to receive the offered programs.
We are open to branch out to other schools where our CI Members are enrolled. Keep an eye out! Your school may be next!
The CALM Classroom
The Children Always Learning Mindfulness (CALM) Classroom Initiative has the primary goal of calming the overall classroom environment by providing individual students with Emotional well-being tools & Social Emotional Learning skills to be able to learn, acknowledge, and express their emotions appropriately while maintaining a positive attitude. This program is held at Bale, Stephens, & Wakefield Elementary.
Wellness Wednesdays
Children International provides empowerment programming for 6th-8th grade students through partnerships in the Little Rock School District. The Wellness Wednesday program promotes social and emotional learning among middle school students at Dunbar and Cloverdale Middle Schools. All students that participate will receive tools and self-calm techniques through emotional intelligence-based workshops. Every month participants have the chance to win a $15 Gift card after completing their reflection challenges. Students who participate are also eligible for an amazing end-of-the-year celebration!
R2C2 Program
Children International provides employability programming for 8th-12th grade students through partnerships in the Little Rock School District. The Road to College and Career (R2C2) program prepares high school students for success through in-school workshops focusing on life skills, career skills, and creating a post-graduation plan. Every classroom of participating schools will receive FREE ACT Preparation Guides, the opportunity to schedule 1 on 1 College & Career Prep Sessions, and more!
