A Life Skills Program for 8th grade - CI Alumni
The College & Career Exploration program focuses on emotional intelligence & well-being, Life Skills, College Readiness, Career Preparation, & more. This year's program will be implemented from Sep. 2024 - March 2025 at the following LRSD partners:
Central High School
Parkview High School
Southwest High School
Dr. Marian G. Lacey K-8 Academy

CI Members ages 16-24 gain hands-on work experience and on the job training
Through community partnerships and resources, eligible age CI members will be able to receive hands-on work experience via summer employment, on the job training to secure employment opportunities and secure educational assistance for post-secondary educational career paths.
PROGRAM INFORMATION
This program will launch on February 24, 2025.
Spring Semester Training: March 21 & April 3
February 24 session is now postponed to March 6th due to inclement weather. Click here to RSVP.
We will meet once per month. RSVP is not required, however students must complete at least one session in order to receive summer employment assistance. Please stay tuned for dates.
Summer Employment Application is open now.
Age: Must be currently 16 - 21 years of age
The Employment Program will be held from June - July 2025 via collaboration with the City of LR SYEO Program.

Post-Secondary Support for CI Members 18-24
This is an opportunity for CI members enrolling in a post-secondary educational program after high school such as (a technical program, 2-year or 4-year program at a college/university, and various career work) opportunities requiring educational funding assistance via local and statewide scholarship resources.
