Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL)

AECL's role is to act as an agent of the Government, support the Government's development of nuclear policy, set priorities for Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL), oversee the contract, and assess CNL’s performance. AECL receives funding from the Government of Canada to enable the development of nuclear science and technology, and to manage the Government of Canada’s radioactive waste liabilities.

Alberta Infrastructure, in partnership with AltaML, leads GovLab.ai, an innovative Applied AI Lab focused on harnessing artificial intelligence to address societal challenges and drive economic growth in Alberta. With significant investments from the Alberta government and contributions from industry leaders like AltaML and Mitacs, GovLab.ai provides a collaborative platform for developing AI solutions. Operating on a cohort basis and utilizing agile methodologies, GovLab.ai facilitates the rapid development and commercialization of AI solutions, positioning Alberta as a global leader in AI innovation. Through GovLab.ai, Alberta Infrastructure demonstrates its commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technologies for community betterment and infrastructure advancement.

Construction Owners Association of Alberta (COAA)

COAA is the cornerstone of collaborative efforts within Alberta's heavy industrial construction industry, driven by owner-led membership and a commitment to shared objectives essential for the province's competitiveness and prosperity. Their mission is to prepare Alberta's heavy industrial construction ecosystem for the future, emphasizing safety, productivity, and innovation. With a visionary goal of positioning Alberta as a global leader in capital asset construction and maintenance, COAA serves as a catalyst for opportunity, providing members with a dynamic platform to actively shape the industry's trajectory. By fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and idea exchange, COAA empowers its members to make tangible contributions towards the advancement of Alberta's heavy industrial construction sector.

City of Edmonton (CoE)

The City of Edmonton is a municipal government entity in Canada dedicated to providing essential public services and infrastructure to its residents, businesses, and visitors. University of Alberta - Facilities and Operations

Facilities and Operations section is supporting the University of Alberta through a range of essential services and work for operating, maintaining and renewing infrastructure across our campuses. It is focused on providing the appropriate foundation for the university’s academic and research community to advance and achieve its multiple mandates. It does this by nurturing an organizational culture where our people can flourish and succeed. The Consulting Engineers of Alberta (CEA) is a registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the business environment for member firms and ensuring the highest standards of engineering design and safety for Albertans. The organization's primary objective is to promote and enhance the business interests and opportunities of its member firms by providing access to a network of quality industry services and employee benefit programs. Collaborating with provincial and territorial associations as well as the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies - Canada (ACEC), CEA aims to foster a sustainable consulting engineering industry that benefits society while delivering exceptional value to member firms and their clients.

The Consulting Architects of Alberta (CAA) is the business voice of architects working in Alberta. Founded in 2009 and registered under the Alberta Societies Act, they represent and support architects practicing in the province. • support collaboration and knowledge sharing;

ACA represents the collective voice for Alberta’s construction industry, develops standard industry practices (procurement, payment, safety, etc.), and promotes highly skilled workforce. The ACA is comprised of 3000+ member companies involved in institutional, commercial and industrial sectors that include general contractors, trade contractors, and manufacturers and suppliers. The construction industry in Alberta employs approximately 242,000, for an approximate value of $45 billion.

They create avenues for academics to join a central conversation on researching and teaching sustainability issues.
