The leading-edge research carried out by the SCRG research team would not be possible without the support and collaboration of our industry partners.
The SCRG brings together a diverse consortium of industry partners ranging from construction owners to general contractors, design engineers, and architects. This unique combination will provide us with the opportunity to address the research problems from multiple perspectives and disseminate the research outcomes to the maximum number of industry practitioners.
The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) funds visionaries, explorers and innovators who are searching for the scientific and technical breakthroughs that will benefit our country. We are Canada’s largest supporter of discovery and innovation. NSERC works with universities, colleges, businesses and not-for-profits to remove barriers, develop opportunities and attract new expertise to make Canada’s research community thrive. NSERC gives Canadian scientists and engineers the means to go further because we believe in research without borders and beyond frontiers.
AECL's role is to act as an agent of the Government, support the Government's development of nuclear policy, set priorities for Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL), oversee the contract, and assess CNL’s performance. AECL receives funding from the Government of Canada to enable the development of nuclear science and technology, and to manage the Government of Canada’s radioactive waste liabilities.
Alberta Infrastructure, in partnership with AltaML, leads GovLab.ai, an innovative Applied AI Lab focused on harnessing artificial intelligence to address societal challenges and drive economic growth in Alberta. With significant investments from the Alberta government and contributions from industry leaders like AltaML and Mitacs, GovLab.ai provides a collaborative platform for developing AI solutions. Operating on a cohort basis and utilizing agile methodologies, GovLab.ai facilitates the rapid development and commercialization of AI solutions, positioning Alberta as a global leader in AI innovation. Through GovLab.ai, Alberta Infrastructure demonstrates its commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technologies for community betterment and infrastructure advancement.
COAA is the cornerstone of collaborative efforts within Alberta's heavy industrial construction industry, driven by owner-led membership and a commitment to shared objectives essential for the province's competitiveness and prosperity. Their mission is to prepare Alberta's heavy industrial construction ecosystem for the future, emphasizing safety, productivity, and innovation. With a visionary goal of positioning Alberta as a global leader in capital asset construction and maintenance, COAA serves as a catalyst for opportunity, providing members with a dynamic platform to actively shape the industry's trajectory. The Consulting Architects of Alberta (CAA) is the business voice of architects working in Alberta.
