Ever wonder where the seeds you buy at the store come from? Seed saving! This is an incredibly important skill for gardeners to preserve their own seeds to grow again or trade. This allows for increased species biodiversity and helps keep local plants local! Check out our resources on the right to learn more!
Seed saving happens at the tail end of the season once your plant has produced seeds, flowers or fruit. The process of harvesting seeds varies slightly for each plant you hope to save from. Please use our resources on the left to learn about saving seeds for your particular plant!
Seeds are quick to get moldy and rotten unless stored in a cool dark place such as a sealed tupperware in a dark closet. Use our resources on the right to learn how to properly store your seeds for a few days up to a few years!
