WELCOME TO YOUR INTERNAL MEDICINE (MED546) CLERKSHIP!
The third year Internal Medicine Clerkship consists of:
4 weeks on a General Internal medicine in-patient service (CTU) at either the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) or the University of Alberta Hospital (UAH)
AND
4 weeks on either CTU at the Grey Nuns Hospital (GNH) OR 4 weeks on a preceptor-led unit (PLU) at UAH or RAH. Although the preceptor-led unit can have residents, they often do not have residents. In the event that there are no residents on the preceptor-led unit, students will work directly with the preceptor.

There will also be a site-specific orientation arranged. You will be emailed with details on the site-specific orientation prior to the start of the clerkship.
