Course Registration Manual

12. WITHDRAWAL FROM COURSES

1.     For each term, by means of the online registration system, students can register in and change course selection up to the deadline for online registration. These changes can be accomplished without any record of the registration or change of registration in a particular course. Students withdrawing after this date and up to the term refund deadline will be assessed 50% fees. Consult the academic calendar for exact dates.

2.     Course withdrawals after the term refund deadline, and before the last day for withdrawal, will result in a notation of "W", which is not included in the GPA calculation.

3.     After the final withdrawal deadline, if a student withdraws from a course, the transcript will reflect the student’s performance in the course, which will almost always result in a grade of “F”.

4.     In full session (two-term) courses, students can withdraw up to the Winter withdrawal deadline; the student's transcript will indicate a "W".

5.     If a student withdraws from a full session course after the Winter term deadline, the student's transcript will reflect the student’s performance in the course.

6.     Students can now withdraw from courses in Bear Tracks. Withdrawal forms are also available from the Admissions/Student Records Office (Room 128).
