Using the Education Print Centre

The Faculty of Education has set up a Print Centre in 2-111S Education North, formerly part of RISE which will allow faculty and staff to send secure print jobs to central printers.

Getting connected

To connect to the new print centre, printer drivers will need to be installed on your workstation.

If you are on campus, you can put in a ticket and IST can visit offices where necessary. Laptops can be brought to 3-104N Ed North.

Getting secure

Once you are connected to the new printers, you will need to add a passcode to prevent other people from accessing your print jobs. Follow these instructions to set up secure print for Windows or for Mac.

Note: choose a passcode that you will remember! There is no way to recover a print job if you don’t remember the passcode. You will use the same passcode for all of your printouts.

Picking up your printout

You will pick up your printouts in 2-111S Education North, formerly part of RISE.

Please contact your APO for the door codes to access the print service centre.

For your security, the printer does not print your job until you release it at the printer.

Recovering your passcode

If you have forgotten your Secure Print passcode there is no way to recover it. Repeat the steps in “Getting secure” to create a new passcode. Any jobs sent with the forgotten passcode will need to be sent again. Old, abandoned jobs will automatically expire after several days.
