How are you feeling about graduating?
Long awaited. A sentiment shared not solely by myself.
What is your favorite memory of being a student at the U of A?
The very first snowfall and walking home from campus was by far my favourite memory
Talk about your work term with AWE! What was your role and responsibilities? What did you learn?
AWE was my first gateway into what a professional workplace looks like. It helped me recognize the importance of relationship building, taking initiative and maturing prior to entering the workforce. I had a great opportunity to pioneer a new role and be creative with helping students be engaged and have the help they need to succeed in their program.
What are some of the key things you learned at the U of A?
That it is okay to not have everything figured out and that there is no rush to find your path. Things may not work out the way you want but they will work out inevitably.
Do you have any advice for current students?
Take advantages of all the campus resources that are available. You should be open to a diverse set of opportunities and prepare to take unconventional pathways to achieve your goals.
What are you most looking forward to after graduation?
I’m certainly going to fancy not having a tuition bill and consistent paycheques. However, there is something about being a student that is uniquely special and I will miss going to class.
