Graduate Research Assistant for WildFire Smoke Experiments

The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) Atmospheric Chemistry Group (https://sites.google.com/uah.edu/shanhulee) is seeking a talented and motivated graduate student to perform research on the chemical analysis of air pollutants emitted from biomass burning fires using high resolution mass spectrometers (HrTOF-CIMS or CI-APi-TOF; LC-ESI Orbitrap mass spectrometer). A BS or MS degree (in chemistry, atmospheric science, or chemical/environmental engineering), strong experimental and computing skills, and prior research experiences are required. If you are interested in, please send your CV, contact information of three references, transcript(s), and PDF of publications to Dr. Shanhu Lee (shanhu.lee@uah.edu).

Graduate Research Assistants for New Particle Formation Studies

The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) Atmospheric Chemistry Group (https://sites.google.com/uah.edu/shanhulee) is seeking one or two talented and motivated graduate students to perform research in the area of air pollution, atmospheric chemistry, and aerosol particles. Specifically, the current project aims to understand atmospheric formation and growth processes, via laboratory and field observations and data simulations. We utilize the state of art mass spectrometers (HrTOF-CIMS or CI-APi-TOF; LC-ESI Orbitrap mass spectrometer) and aerosol instruments (PSM and SMPS). A BS or MS degree (in chemistry, atmospheric science, or chemical/environmental engineering), strong experimental and computing skills, and prior research experiences in the relevant fields are required. If you are interested in, please send your CV, contact information of three references, transcript(s), and PDF of publications to Dr. Shanhu Lee (shanhu.lee@uah.edu).
