We are currently conducting the Houston-NPF campaign to study chemical mechanisms involved in urban ultrafine particle formation processes at the University of Houston campus in support of NSF. This is a 6-week long field study, in collaboration with Dr. Jimmy Flynn. (September 2022)

Two NSF REU students will conduct undergraduate research in our group this summer, Sameera White (from UAH) and Zach Watson (from FIT). Sameera will be working on chemical composition analysis of gas- and aerosol-phase HOMs taken from FIGAERO-CI-APi-TOF. Zach will study the effects of meteorology on urban aerosol dynamics, in collaboration with Dr. Kevin Knupp. (May 2022)

Onsite instrument training for FIGAERO-CI-APi-TOF took place at our lab between April 27-29. Dr. Jordan Krechmer taught five students, Lee Tiszenkel (UAH), Asadullah Shoaib (UAH), Ariana Deegan (U Georgia), Saeideh Mohammadi (U Iowa), and Mike Taylor (U Delaware), about the instrument principles, operations, troubleshoot, and data analysis. It is a very exciting experience for all students. (April 2022)
