UAH Profile Sounding Team for Operational and Research Meteorology (UPSTORM)

Within UPSTORM, students will be trained on numerous weather balloon sounding systems, have the opportunity to go into the field and launch weather balloons, get hands on experience with research vehicles, and have the opportunity to lead a team of undergraduates into the field to launch balloons. Students will be able to directly apply what has been learned in the classroom with real weather data as well as further their knowledge beyond the classroom. Being active in UPSTORM also opens doors for further research opportunities within the Atmospheric Department.
