We discuss issues and events of the week and we read and discuss short stories, though recently we have ventured into a short novel. French conversation for fluent speakers wishing to regain or improve their fluency. This is an informal class. We will have conversation, and read and translate passages from Antoine Laurent’s Le Chapeau de Mitterand. The aim is to improve accent, vocabulary, and ease of conversation. Participants should be able to read the Cyrillic script without difficulty, have some acquaintance with Russian grammar, and with basic vocabulary.
