Hello and welcome to my website. My name is Jordan Barnett and I originally from Fresno, CA. I am the oldest of 2 and son to the best parents anyone could as for. I have a deep passion for people and found dentistry to be a challenging and fulfilling career for me to develop a deep bond with my community.
My wife, Susana, is a Civil Engineer and together we own a home in Fresno that is just large enough to help us raise our dog, Louis, a purebred Doberman Pinscher, who we love dearly.
I hope that you enjoy my website and would love to hear your comments and feedback. For any questions please feel free to reach me by email: drjordanbarnett@gmail.com or by phone: (559) 213-1617.

I have never appreciated nor enjoyed things that are easy. This undoubtedly stems from my incessant need to ask why. No matter the task, discipline, rules, etc., understanding why is certainly the most important task in mastering something new. As a 16-year-old interested in dentistry, I asked my dental providers what specific attributes one would need in order to be a successful dentist. They all concurred that at the top of the list were leadership and entrepreneurial skills, poise, and empathy. This time, rather than ask why, I dedicated my years as an undergraduate to finding the answer myself.
What often separates leaders from followers is their ability to not only analyze situations, but also make decisions. In order to better understand the nuances of leadership, I joined the Pre-Dental Club my freshman year. Shortly after joining, I was elected the Philanthropist and helped raise money and organize community service events. The following year, I was presented the opportunity to serve as the President. For the next two years under my presidency, we doubled membership, formally transitioned into a professional fraternity, Delta Epsilon Omicron, and raised thousands of dollars for our organization and at-risk youth in our community. During this time, I learned how to make decisions that would not only benefit myself, but also the members of our group.
Sad to say, my decision-making skills were tested to a more critical degree with the onset of my father’s illness. After suffering a heart attack and undergoing a quadruple bypass, my father was left to retire and effectively cut our family income by a considerable margin. Rather than be disheartened, I saw an opportunity to step-up and offset the lost income. Immediately, I attained a position as a tutor at the Tutoring Center, a position which I held for the remaining two and a half years of my undergraduate degree. To further my income, I founded CLIMe, a tutoring business aimed to develop students of all ages. With a growing, socioeconomically diverse clientele, not only have my efforts continued to strengthen the knowledge and critical thinking capacities of my students, but also my own.
In addition, I have had the immense privilege to serve the needs of my surrounding community in a dentistry capacity. It is human nature to take things for granted; furthermore, it is easy to overlook the amazing things that are at one’s disposal on a daily basis. All is shattered when you stare into the eyes of a helpless single mother that only wants a rudimentary teeth cleaning for her four children but cannot afford it. This is nothing but a mere snapshot of the numerous scenes I witnessed throughout my countless volunteer experiences. Having the humility to put others before yourself and use your talents to better their lives is beyond any type of financial or superficial compensation. It is the pure joy and satisfaction of helping others that I yearn to have in a long and distinguished career.
After graduating college, I obtained a full-time position at a local private practice in order to further develop my knowledge in dentistry. My primary position involved verifying patients’ insurance eligibility and benefits. Moreover, I assisted in arranging the patient schedule, submitting insurance claims, and welcoming patients. This experience helped me understand the importance of the dental front office and how to take care of patients on the front end. That opportunity continuously cemented my decision and confidence in choosing to pursue a career in dentistry.
Upon earning my degree, I look forward to coming back to Fresno to work with and learn from individuals like Dr. Shawn Anderson at Willow Dental Group. I also aspire to join efforts with the many professional and non-profit organizations that Delta Epsilon Omicron was associated with as a means to assist the underprivileged citizens of the community with their health needs. Ultimately, I aim to establish my own private practice where I will advance my professional skills and continue to serve my patients. Using the skills I have developed, I will continue my pursuit in asking as well as answering why. With the addition of technical knowledge in dentistry, I am convinced that I will be a leader in my community and inspire positive change.
