Our mission is to build a lightweight and assistive product that will help users with decreased proprioception and decreased arm mobility accurately measure ingredients and liquids of different volumes. In the design review, we presented a design that mimics the shape of meat tongs with silicone/sponge ends; a device that is easily slidable up and down the edges of a vessel so that a desirable liquid level can be measured. This design is a clamp with sensor and speaker that makes auditory alert when sensor comes into contact with water. The design also features different colored rubber grips to signify which side of the clamp goes on the inside and which goes on the outside.
Diagrams are shown below of what was presented.
