After conducting a needs analysis for the commercial product department, I presented a proposal to the executive team. I was granted then designed, developed and implemented a digital 'Simulator' training tool made available on tablets for the commercial line.
The digital commercial operator Simulator is available in two branded labels
The tablets are a cost-effective way to conduct in person trainings as well as virtual webinars
Using tablets significantly reduces injury risk to trainers and trainees
Prior to tablets, the real demo units weighed between 75-95 pounds
Real demos were transported by semi-trucks throughout the USA; the Simulator solution eliminates $4,000 in round-trip shipping costs per each training session. Now the trainers transport up to 20 tablets in one case with them for training sessions.
Shipping 12 real demo units required 3 weeks-time to ship to/from for just one training session
With real demo units only 8 trainings were scheduled per year due to extensive cost and time
In 2021, using the Simulator on tablets, 35 in-person training sessions took place across North America and Canada (when the country opened back up from the pandemic) compared to the 8 that the team normally conducted during non-covid times.
