a. Dedicate planning time to collaborate with colleagues to create authentic learning experiences that leverage technology

b. Collaborate and co-learn with students to discover and use new digital resources and diagnose and troubleshoot technology issues.

c. Use collaborative tools to expand students’ authentic, realworld learning experiences by engaging virtually with experts, teams and students, locally and globally.

d. Demonstrate cultural competency when communicating with students, parents and colleagues and interact with them as co-collaborators in student learning.

My Connected Classroom Newsletter

Below you will find the first edition of my Connected Classroom Newsletter. In creating this artifact I found that compiling information into a directed and straight forward flyer is more difficult than it seems to be. Providing just enough information to grab the attention of the reader while allowing for a full explanation poses some issues with design. Additionally, I feel that the use of Google Sheets for this task may not be the best option as the ability to edit, design and change the layout can become tedious when trying to insert multiple elements, such as images, infographics and text.

Using the medium of a flyer will be a fantastic mode of information dissemination when I am a teacher. I intend to create a monthly newsletter to accompany some form of guardian-signature-required homework to ensure that the information on how to be involved is being delivered to the proper recipients. This medium can also benefit from a purely digital location, wherein I can email the newsletter directly to a parent's inbox, instead of relying on the student to deliver the information for me.
