When designing any course, the first thing that needs to be identified is what students will learn. Before a course summary can be created, learning activities made, or a textbook assigned, the course must have a set of objectives of what students will have mastered by the end of the course. It is crucial for new faculty to take their time in creating these so that a quality course can be created. In this WebQuest, we will be focusing on Standard 2.1 of the Quality Matters Rubric which refers to creating measurable course objectives. Before we dive in, please take a few minutes to watch these videos on the importance of creating these objectives.
