The excel projects throughout our class time in BUSBTC-330 have been none other then helpful to learn and complete. Excel is one of those tools that people within the business world must be able to use. In order to crunch numbers perfectly and make things easier on the user, excel has many ways to utilize important shortcuts and other calculations. We learned that the business functions we put into excel resulted in different values amongst any sort of company evaluation. During these projects, we were given financial statements in which we had to interpret based on different scenarios we were given. In turn, we would be able to calculate and project certain fiscal statements based off of the functions within excel. The excel projects also helped us learn to communicate with professional stakeholders within our companies. Utilizing the functions in excel, we can accurately project end of the year income statements/investment schedules, being able to operate well within excel helps this communication piece as well as reliability. Communication amongst our groups for discussions and excel projects helped out tremendously. Whether we had been stuck on a question in one of the excel projects, or we felt confused on a discussion topic, we always reached out and worked together to solve each of these issues. Understanding responsible business practices is extremely vital to acquire at such a moment in our lives. We need to be able to recognize the differences between ethical and unethical behavior, not only that, but learn how to move the processes of a business in a smooth and profitable direction. Excel, and the assignments within our course showed me how to add to responsible business practices, and become a difference maker for whoever I work for.
