Fluency is part of the daily routine with Math Workshop!
Fluency practice is social, fun, and practically risk-free.
Students at all learning levels can participate and build confidence.
Fluency activities serve a variety of purposes:
Maintenance
: Staying sharp on previously learned skills (spiral review)
Preparation
: Targeted practice for the current lesson
Anticipation
: Building skills to prepare students for the in-depth work of future lessons
Fluency should be a quick whole class warm-up
