Mrs. Weihofen started coaching the Royal Speech Team in 2018 when she joined the Larkin Staff as the new VPAA Drama teacher. She took over for the originator of the Royal Speech Team, Ms. Reddy Wilson.
Mrs. Weihofen is a former 4-year Speech Team competitor, competing in DDA, DI, HDA, and Informative Speaking on the Bartlett High School team under coach Anthony Zoubek.

Her favorite category to compete in was Informative Speaking. She competed in this category her junior and senior years and ended up being a Sectional Qualifier in Informative Speaking in 2012 with her speech about Kleptomania.
Being a coach has been one of the most fulfilling parts of her teaching career thus far. She has enjoyed helping her team find categories that they love, and has also enjoyed seeing them celebrate each other's successes.Â
Her favorite part about the Royal Speech Team is how much of a family the team is. Everyone gets along with each other so well, and everyone supports and lifts each other up. Everyone on this team is such a positive influence and she is so lucky to have such an amazing team.
