Troubleshooting Accommodations

• Inaccessible classroom

  • If a student's class is assigned to a room or building that is inaccessible to them, call University Scheduling to request a room change. 

  • Examples include broken elevator, inaccessible entry due to construction, shaking projector in the room, etc. 

• Classroom has a defective or no microphone available 

  • If a student or faculty reports that the microphone in the classroom is not working or not available, this can pose a problem for accommodations (recording, virtual interpreters or captioners, etc)

  • Gather the class information including the room number & submit a work order to IT for support. 

  • IT will check on the microphone or provide a new one to the classroom. 

Misc.

• How to find FERPA releases for students

• Annual reporting for IPEDS: 

  1. List student classes; export course data by student & course data

  2. Delete out all the things except ID number and course number

  3. Sort the course number and delete anything over 5000

  4. Remove duplicate ID numbers

  5. Report the total number of undergrad students to IRDM
